Curtis W. Stofferahn Male Vocal Music Scholarship Endowment
Dr. Curtis W Stofferahn, NDSU 1975, was the song leader for the ND Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at NDSU. As an undergraduate, he sang with the Men’s Glee Club (now the Statesmen) as well as sang in choruses of campus musicals and opera workshops. In graduate school at Iowa State University and while on the faculty of the University of North Dakota, he continuously sang with church choirs as well as with the Ames Choral Society, the Grand Forks Chorale, and the Traill Blazers Men’s Chorus. In retirement he sang with the Fargo Master Chorale and the Olivet Lutheran Church Choir. While on the faculty at the University of North Dakota, he was chapter/faculty advisor to ND Alpha Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity where he led the chapter in ritual and song leading.
Dr. Stofferahn wishes for this scholarship to go to a male vocal music major and/or male participant in one of NDSU’s vocal music ensembles. He prefers that the recipient be a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at the University who would agree to be the song leader for the chapter.
