Daniel and Denise Zimmerle

Daniel and Denise got married as juniors and earned BS and MS degrees from
NDSU. After a corporate career in the computer industry, Daniel leads energy
research at Colorado State University, partnering with state and federal
government, industry and environmental associations. Dan’s NDSU Mechanical
Engineering degrees prepared him to succeed in new areas of technology, from
electronic instruments to engineering design software to computers to computer
simulations. The solid education we received at NDSU prepared us to succeed in
our careers, where “What have you delivered lately?” came up in every quarterly
review and “Where did you go to school?” wasn’t relevant at work. We want to
support North Dakotans preparing for leadership roles in future technologies.
