Esther F. Myers

North Dakota State University provided the essential undergraduate education
that transformed a rural western North Dakota ranch girl into a dietetics
professional. I owe a debt of gratitude to NDSU for the learning environment as
well as social environment that served as the building blocks for my career.
When I was accepted into the Air Force as a dietetic intern, I did not realize that I
was standing on the shoulders of those who had gone before! I found out later
that previous NDSU graduates had been accepted and had excelled in the USAF.
NDSU graduates had the reputation of having solid midwestern work ethic and
educational background. Any contributions I am able to give back to NDSU are
intended to allow the dietetics program and College of Human Sciences and
Education to maintain this reputation and enhance experiences for future NDSU
dietetics students. With the emphasis on advancing dietetics through the
creating and use of research, this fund is intended to provide support for
students that effectively apply research principles in dietetics.
