IME Chair's Scholarship
David Grewell and Christine Strohm are honored to provide funds to support a scholarship for students pursuing an undergraduate degree at NDSU in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME). The scholarship should be awarded to high-performing underrepresented students with financial need. The intention is to support students who may otherwise not be able to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree from the IME department because of financial constraints. In addition, in order to promote diversity in the department, this scholarship should be awarded to students that represent a minority population in the department, such as female, African-American, Native-American, etc. Preference should also be considered for first-generation students. The scholarship should be awarded to first-year students in the IME department and can be renewed once based on the student’s performance. The goal is for scholarship recipients to graduate from the IME department, pursue a long and successful career, and make a significant impact in the field of engineering and/or science.
