James Young

This scholarship is given in memory of Karen (Gronhovd) Young (’62 Home Economics). Karen grew up in a small town in northeastern ND. During her studies in the Department of Home Economics, Karen developed a special interest in Child Development and excelled as a student teacher. While at NDSU, Karen made lifelong friends, including her husband of 62 years James Young (NDSU ’60, ’62). The value of university academics and a college degree were passed along to Karen and James Young’s daughter Jamie Young, BS, DVM (ISU), PhD (CSU). SOURCE OF FUNDS
