Jerry and Jeanine Ray
Just a few words to introduce you to the two documents that I have written,
which are a part of the Legacy Statement. These documents show two examples
of what you can do with an Engineering degree, and there is a lot more that is
possible too. I recommend that you review these documents at least yearly for as
you grow you will start to understand some of the concepts and ideas within
them.
The first document is a PowerPoint presentation. In it you will see that my career
began as a hardware and software microprocessor engineer on many different
government projects ranging from communication satellites, to ground station
radar information centers, and encryption devices for cell and satellite phones.
After 15 years I decided to get into Systems Engineering. Systems engineering
work products are presented to illustrate the all-encompassing nature of Systems
Engineering. Pay particular attention to the Stimulus, Processing, Response
method to create an Operational Concept Model diagram. It is a way to
graphically display, define, and communicate how a system or black box is to
work, not just pages and pages of text. I also list some recommended skills and habits to cultivate including a writing format that will assist you in effective communication with management.
The second document is a collection of health improvements that I found researching various topics once I retired in 2007. I have tried and use most all of these low cost, simple, do-it-yourself remedies. Only those that I found effective for me are in this document. Also, I will continue adding to this document for as long as I am able. As of this writing the document is current thru 2024. The takeaway here is use your engineering training to do your own research and experimentation, use your brain. There is a lot of propaganda out there. The current medical paradigm is one that focuses on profit over people. That is why I have written this document as a starting point on low cost, safe, effective treatments that have been either discarded (e.g., Iodine) or prevented from being doctor recommended (lose your license if you do, e.g., see the three patented items). Most importantly, pay attention to the Operational Concept Model in item 7. d. If you do not like the results you are producing in your life, you can change your life by changing your inputs or processing (mental/imagination), or both.
Last, as a recipient of this gift, please keep in mind what helped you along the way on your life’s path. Give back so that others can benefit as you have. You could do as I did, a little here, a little there; and, near or at your end of life a lot more. You may donate back to this scholarship fund or one that you create. Have a great career and life path filled with continual learning.
