John Bollingberg

John Bollingberg

John Bollingberg was born and raised on the family farm near Bremen, N.D. He
earned a bachelor’s degree in 1955 from NDSU, and after graduating, he
returned to the family farm, married his beloved wife Margaret, and raised six
children; four of whom graduated from NDSU. During John’s career he was active
in community and state relations. He served on the board of directors for the
Bremen Elevator, Wells County Better Seed and Grain, North Dakota Farm
Bureau, Nodak Mutual Insurance Co, and served as Legislative Committee chair
with the Farm Bureau. In addition, he served on the State Board of Agricultural
Research and Education and the North Dakota Edible Bean Growers Council.
During his career, he was appointed to the American Oat Association.
Bollingberg’s contributions to North Dakota agriculture are vast and significant.
He and his family established this scholarship to support the next generation of
agriculture leaders at North Dakota State University.
