Kenneth Clouston Family Political Science Endowment

This scholarship provides an opportunity to expose students to various aspects of the legal profession up close and in a way not customarily available to students in North Dakota. For chosen students, the scholarship will fund their travel where they will be exposed to several areas of the practice of law, including attending a trial and/or court hearings in criminal and civil courts, witnessing actual proceedings in the criminal and civil justice systems (including meeting practitioners, district attorneys and judges), tours of large and small law firms, visiting a prestigious law school, and networking with several legal practitioners in various areas of the law, types of law firms and in-house positions. The goal is to present students with a “day in the life” of various law practitioners in a variety of areas and types of practices.
