Killilea Family Endowed Scholarship for Entrepreneurs in STEM

Shannon and T. Howard Killilea are alumni of North Dakota State University. Shannon received her B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Howard earned his B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Coatings and Polymeric Materials. Shannon is a member of the College of Engineering’s Advisory and Advancement Board and Howard is a longtime member of the Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials’ Industrial Advisory Board. In Howard’s advisory role, he was an early proponent of developing an accelerated master’s program. They are both advocates of graduate work beyond a bachelor’s degree, have a goal to foster the creative spirit in aspiring entrepreneurs, and more importantly to encourage more women to enter the STEM field.
