Larry Corah
Dr. Larry Corah has been one of the most influential people in the North
American beef industry. Dr. Corah graduated from NDSU in 1964 with a major in
animal science and went on to receive his master’s degree from Michigan State
University and his doctorate at the University of Wyoming. His over 50-year
career provided leadership in multiple segments of the beef industry, including
serving as a state beef specialist for Kansas State University, director of
production systems with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, vice
president of Certified Angus Beef, LLC, and teaching a senior level beef systems
class at KSU and consulting with Select Sires. Dr. Corah credits his North Dakota
heritage and education at NDSU as the key to his success and hopes this
scholarship will support the next generation of leaders in the animal science
industry. In 2021 Dr Corah was selected the NDSU College of Agriculture, Food
Systems, and Natural Resources Distinguished Alumnus.
