Lloyd Thilmony and Anthony Thilmony
The Thilmony family has a long agriculture legacy in North Dakota, homesteading their family farm in the late 19th century in Barnes County, just southeast of Valley City. Today the third and fourth generations (Lloyd and Anthony) continue this agriculture heritage, and to advance their farming practices, working closely with NDSU researchers and relying on the expertise delivered by NDSU Extension. Recognizing the value and breadth of what NDSU agriculture has provided their family, they established the Thilmony Family Scholarship to support the next generation of agriculture professionals from Barnes County, and to preserve the Thilmony family name within the NDSU and North Dakota agriculture community.
