Michael Uetz

Michael Uetz grew up in Beach, North Dakota, spending his summers and
holidays on his family’s ranch raising cattle and quarter horses. This upbringing
was the basis for building Michael’s passion for agriculture and for his desire to
support those who wish to make a living raising animal protein. Michael attended
NDSU and graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics in 1982. He has
spent the bulk of his career supporting the livestock industry, including founding
Midan Marketing – a strategic marketing, research and creative agency dedicated
to ensuring a prosperous future for all stakeholders in the meat industry.
Michael’s agriculture education was supported by many scholarships during his
tenure at NDSU. He has established this scholarship to support the next
generation of NDSU’s agriculture leaders who have the same passion for the
industry and a desire to stay connected to their agricultural roots.
