William and Jody Plombon Endowed Scholarship in Electrical and Computer Engineering
William (Bill) and Jody Plombon are proud to establish an endowed scholarship for students pursuing a major in electrical or computer engineering. We were both raised in families with moderate financial means, so we appreciate the impact financial aid can make on a college education. This scholarship is intended to off-set a portion of your educational cost to allow you to focus in becoming an electrical or computer engineer. Our education and life experiences at NDSU afforded us the skills to have careers that provided us the financial ability, to have the privilege, to give back to future engineers through this scholarship. Utilizing your engineering education, you will be able to change the world we live in by impacting people’s lives in a meaningful way. My hope is that you will have experiences similar to mine, where I used my knowledge from a BSEE degree, to develop products that restore health, alleviate pain and extend life through the innovations of medical technology. Bill graduated from NDSU in 1986 with a BSEE, his wife Jody attended NDSU for one year and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1989 with a BS in Business Administration. We raised three incredible children, Michael, Cora and Claire, who have all benefitted from achieving a bachelor’s degree or higher.
