William D. and Janet E Heller

William D. and Janet E Heller

William Heller graduated from NDSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. During his time at NDSU he was president of the Business Econ Club, member of the Student Senate and University Senate, and was a Sigma Chi. His early career was focused on mechanical engineering, working for the Trane Company in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and California. In 1989 he co-founded Future Air in San Jose, California, a design/build commercial heating and air conditioning company, providing HVAC installation and service to many Silicon Valley companies. Janet Heller graduated from San Jose State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. William and Janet met in San Jose and were married in 1990. After retiring, they moved to San Martin, California, and started Heller Winery, producing wine from their own vineyards of cabernet, merlot, and Carignane. Their hope is that the scholarship fund they are establishing will help students at NDSU continue to pursue their chosen degree and find the career path and success that both William and Janet found possible through their college education.
