Robert and Sheila Challey Family Scholarship - Freshman

The Robert and Sheila Challey Family Scholarship is available to students who show talent and potential, musically and academically, to inspire confidence for successful completion of a music degree program at NDSU. All Challey Scholarships may be offered to music majors only as renewable in successive semesters, providing that the student (a) maintains full-time status, (b) maintains adequate progress toward his/her degree, as affirmed by the music faculty at the end of each semester, © maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA overall, and (d) demonstrates at least a 3.0 GPA in music classes each and every semester. As it does with other scholarship awards, the department may require specific ensemble participation as part of the award. The general intent of the Challey Scholarship program is to support students through four years of an undergraduate program. However, at its discretion, the department may offer Challey Scholarships for an initial term of fewer than four years, and may renew a Challey Scholarship for a fifth year.
