Gene L. Kouba Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available only to honorably discharged veterans of the armed forces of the US, and the spouses, unmarried widows, and unmarried children of veterans until age 26. Scholarship recipients must have home of record in Southwest North Dakota, must be full-time students at accredited post-secondary institutions, display outstanding citizenship, and maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average.

Failure to maintain eligibility requirements may result in termination with recoupment of the scholarship award.

Applications will be prioritized in the following manner:

• Veterans with service-connected disabilities as determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
• Veterans eligible for VA pension benefits due to non service-connected disabilities
• Other veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces
• Spouses/unmarried widow(er)s of veterans
• Unmarried children of veterans, until age 26
