James A. Meier Scholarship

James A. Meier Scholarship

Who would fund a scholarship and then define the criteria for the award in such a manner that they would never have qualified for it when they were an incoming freshman? Loath to be foolish, or so unselfish, the criteria for a Meier Scholarship are a snapshot of me, the donor, when I was an entering freshman, Fall Quarter, 1954.
If you should be awarded a scholarship, I have this advice for you. Avoid the temptations of easy loans. They are very hard to pay back. Scrimp. Sacrifice. Live like a student now so you don’t have to live like a student after graduation.
